Red Acre Farm
Farm Production & Operations
I spent nearly a decade working in organic vegetable production at Red Acre Farm, giving me hands-on experience across nearly every part of a small diversified farm operation.
My work has included:
- Field production and crop care
- Crop planning
- Organic certification applications and ongoing compliance
- Grant work
- Irrigation system design and installation
- Hoophouse construction
- BCS operation
- Hand-tool selection and use
- Spreadsheets and production records
- Product and seedling label printing
- Farm infrastructure and operational problem-solving
- Harvest, wash/pack, cultivation, and day-to-day field production
This experience is the foundation for the rest of my agricultural consulting work: I understand farm systems from having worked inside them over the long term.
Red Acre Center
Digital Systems, Websites & Event Operations
I’ve provided long-term technical and operational support for Red Acre Center as the organization has grown.
My work has included:
- Helping build the Center’s original WordPress website
- Migrating the websites from WordPress to Wix
- Ongoing website updates and troubleshooting
- Setting up Stripe and Donorbox for online donations
- Managing Eventbrite for the Utah Farm Conference
- Event planning and logistical support
- Producing event nametags and labels
- Building and managing Google Forms, Sheets, and Docs
- Mailchimp / email marketing support
- Event calendar research and implementation
- General technical and administrative problem-solving
The work ranges from larger projects like website migrations to the smaller systems and logistical details that keep an organization running smoothly.
Web Regen Ag
Farm Consulting, Mentoring & Infrastructure
I’ve provided both hands-on and advisory support for Web Regen Ag across a range of farm projects.
My work has included:
- One-on-one farmer mentoring through a farmer training program
- General agricultural consulting
- Grant preparation and project development
- Hoophouse construction
- BCS flail mower operation and support
- Selecting and installing a propane heater for a seedling house
- Practical farm infrastructure and equipment troubleshooting
This work has often involved moving between planning and implementation—researching an option, helping make the decision, and then helping put it into practice.
